College for TN

Building Tools to Create Career Paths for Students

Through a website redesign, we streamlined the existing site structure and enhanced assessment tools. We combined information and evaluation methods to give students a personalized outlook for their future. College for TN needed a new content management system, brand update and user testing. Their main goal was to better connect middle and high school students to career paths, colleges and scholarship opportunities.

In order to ensure each tool matched data points provide by third party affiliates, we meticulously mapped each assessment tool and maintained a mobile first approach throughout so students could access these tools in classrooms alongside career counselors and at home.

Findability and filterability were key components to the college finder. Students are able to look for higher education institutions based on location, type, field of study, pricing, size and more. Additionally, if students needed help understanding their own interests, they were able to take an interest assessment to learn more about how those can lead to a career path.
